Initial dark fruits cross over from the nose; the addition of Merlot add an extra complexity with plum, liquorice and fresh berries.
Dry finish from the high tannin content with tobacco & blackcurrant lingering.
This hearty blend of Tannat, Malbec & Merlot from Château de Gensac is the most recent expression of Terre e Terre to be released -This wine is truly a joy to drink, much like it&s 2009 counterpart. After aging for 18 months in oak barrique which allows the flavours to mingle and mellow together. A bit of a different flavour profile than the 2009 vintage with the addition of Merlot into the blend; but perfect for fans of full bodied red wine. Perfect with a Sunday roast or game, just allow it some time to breath and really open up.
