Domaine Raoul Gautherin et fils Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2023
Cuvée made from a selection of Raoul Gautherins oldest vineyards of Chablis, more than 35 years old.
After vinification in stainless steel tank, the wine is aged in barrels during 12 to 15 months.
Only 2nd or 3rd use barrels in order not to hide the typicality of the Chablis.
Buttery aromas and candied fruits come blend with its minerality to create a beautifully balanced wine. Bright pale-gold in the glass, with a hint of platinum. A welcoming aromatic festival spills over the glass, with citrus blossom, chamomile, and Amalfi lemon. The palate offers an expressive and vibrant mineral wonderland driven by crushed limestone, accented with lemon-rind and honeysuckle and resolving in cleansing acidity and a long finish.
