Joao Pato aka Duckman Kite Duck 2022
98% Baga, 2% Maria Gomes. The nose conjurs ideas of citrus fruits, mineralality and stone fruits. Dry on the palate with medium-high acidity, it has a kiss of funk, cranberry and apricot vibes. The grapes are hand-harvested in early September, undergoes vineyard sorting and de-stemming. The Maria Gomes spends five days macerating and joined with Baga done in a blanc de noir style. Spontaneous fermentation lasts two weeks and takes place in stainless steel with ambient yeasts and without temperature control. Aged in French oak (650L) for six months. Not fined or filtered.
